Walk in hope that the sun will rise

on a day where cancer no longer exists

Important update about Sunrise Walk

At Cancer Council NSW we're constantly reviewing our fundraising products and looking for new ways to inspire our community to come together and raise funds for life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services. We were blown away by the incredible community support for our events at both Redhead Beach and Kingscliff.

We always strive to deliver our fundraising activities in the most efficient way possible, to ensure we can put more funds towards helping people impacted by cancer.  As such, we've decided to pause our Sunrise Walk events for now, to focus our efforts on some of our larger fundraisers and newer initiatives to ensure we are generating maximum impact for those affected by cancer.

We'd love for our Sunrise Walk community to join us this November in walking 50km (or more!) to end cancer. Please join our 50km Walk For Cancer Facebook Group to learn more and sign up.

About Cancer Council

We believe in a cancer free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen. Together with our volunteers, supporters, stakeholders and staff, we are committed to reducing the impact of cancer on individuals and the community, and to lessening the burden for people affected by cancer.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 48,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed, and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant. Cancer Council is the only charity to work across every area of every cancer, from research to prevention and support. We help people from the point of diagnosis through to treatment and survivorship.
