Hope and Resilience

After losing my first wife, Heather, to cancer 17 years ago, I never expected to face the disease again. But then Wendy, my second wife, was diagnosed with stage four multiple myeloma at 71.

A year after her stem cell transplant, Wendy is in remission, and we’re thankful every day for the advancements in cancer treatment. That’s why, when my dog Mary and I walked to raise funds for cancer research, we felt proud to be part of something that makes a real difference.

Join us this June for the Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer. Every step, every dollar raised, supports life-saving research and services for those affected by cancer. Let’s walk, wag, and tackle cancer together—because it’s all of us against cancer.
