The Great Ocean Pool Crawl is locked in for Sunday 2nd March 2025 for the 20th year! We want your support and involvement to make this day a bigger and better success than our last event! We have a BIG goal this year and with your support we will raise $50,000 for Cancer Council NSW.

The fun day begins at the Towradgi Beach Hotel for an 8:00am check in. If you have already registered online, you still need to confirm your attendance and receive your shirt and reserved ticket for the bus. After checking in we'll jump on the free courtesy buses that will take us from pool to pool (Approx 9:00am). If you wish to drive to each pool yourself, you can follow us (but it's much more fun on the buses) and meet us at the first pool (Coalcliff) for a 9:30am start. We'll enjoy 2 laps in each rock pool before heading onto the next.

On completion of the 5th pool (Towradgi) we will make our way back to Towradgi Beach Hotel for entertainment (Approx. 1pm), prizes, raffle, an auction, and some yummy lunch!

Funds raised will go towards Cancer Council’s programs and services such as supporting cancer patients and their families in the Illawarra region. It is through events like The Great Ocean Pool Crawl that the Cancer Council can continue to provide the community with practical cancer support services including Transport to Treatment, Cancer Prevention Programs, local Advocacy, and our 13 11 20 Information & Support Line.

Schedule for the Day

  • 8am: Arrive at Towradgi Beach Hotel
  • 9am: Board the free courtesy buses
  • 9:30am: Coalcliff Ocean Pool
  • 10:10am: Wombarra Ocean Pool

About Cancer Council

We believe in a cancer free future. There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen. Together with our volunteers, supporters, stakeholders and staff, we are committed to reducing the impact of cancer on individuals and the community, and to lessening the burden for people affected by cancer.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 48,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed, and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant. Cancer Council is the only charity to work across every area of every cancer, from research to prevention and support. We help people from the point of diagnosis through to treatment and survivorship.
