Raised to tackle cancer

Challenge yourself to run 50km in September for the 1 in 2 Aussies who will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

Your pace. Your way. Every kilometre counts.

Whether you spread your kilometres across the month or push for a personal best, every km helps fund life-saving research, prevention programs, and support services when they are needed most. It is your run, your pace and your chance to make a real impact. Sign up, rally your community, and fund vital cancer research, prevention and support.

The reality is that almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

Being physically active is an important way you can reduce your risk of cancer. One third of cancer cases each year are preventable by living a healthy lifestyle.

By taking on this challenge, you will be staying active whilst raising funds for life-saving cancer research, prevention programs information and support services.

This challenge is a fundraiser for Cancer Council. After joining the challenge your Facebook Fundraiser will be created.

How it Works

Run 50km in September!
Make every km count for the almost 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and ask family and friends to support you.

Raise funds and make an impact
By asking your friends to donate, you can help ease the burden of cancer for the over 169,000 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer this year.

Every dollar we raise will help make an incredible difference to the over 169,000 Australians and their families who are expected to be affected by cancer this year.

About Cancer Council

We’re working to reduce the impact of cancer for all Australians.

Almost half of all Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Whilst our cancer outcomes continue to be amongst the best in the world, by working together we can all play a part in reducing the impact of cancer for all Australians.

As Australia’s leading cancer charity, working across every aspect of every cancer, we support families affected by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer.

Together, with your support, it’s all of us against cancer.
