About

In 2025, Terrigal Surf Life Saving will once again host The Daffodil Dip as part of the Terrigal Ocean Swim Classic – a fun 400m 'dip' in the ocean for all ages and abilities!

The daffodil is the symbol of hope, and the Daffodil Dip will see each swimmer or ‘dipper’ wear a vintage yellow daffodil swim cap to create a visual ‘ocean of hope’ across Terrigal Beach to raise funds and awareness for Coasties impacted by cancer.

Last year, over 400 ‘dippers’ created a beautiful spectacle across Terrigal Beach, and 2025 is set to be even bigger. Participants can swim, paddle, wade, or just dip into the water! This event is for everyone!

Event Details:
Date: Saturday, April 19, 2025
Location: Terrigal Beach

Entry is separate from the Terrigal Ocean Swim, and 100% of proceeds from the Daffodil Dip will go directly to Cancer Council NSW – Central Coast. Participants will also receive a fundraising page to further support Cancer Council NSW.

Where the money goes:

We want to tackle cancer with all our might!  There are things that we can all do every day to help make this happen.

Every year in NSW alone, more than 36,600 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed, and the impact on families, carers and communities is significant. Together with our volunteers, supporters, stakeholders and staff, we are committed to reducing the impact of cancer on individuals and the community, and to lessening the burden for people affected by cancer.

We are the only organisation that works across every area of every cancer:

  • conducting and funding world-class research that underpins our work in preventing cancer
  • supporting people as they navigate the cancer journey
  • advocating to ensure that governments take action on cancer

We are there not only for those touched by cancer today, but to prevent and manage cancer into the future.

Cancer Council NSW is an independent charity and 94% community funded. Our unique combination of local program delivery, community engagement and national influence enables everyone who cares about cancer to make the biggest possible difference.

If you need support, you can call 13 11 20 or visit our office in Erina Fair.
