Why I’m Taking on 31 Minutes a Day This May

This May, I’ve committed to completing 31 minutes of exercise every day to raise funds for cancer research and support services.

For me, this isn’t just about a fitness challenge — it’s something very personal.

I’ve had cancer myself, and also lost two people incredibly close to me; my Dad in 2021, and my baby brother in 2001. Like so many others, cancer has had a lasting impact on my life and my family.

Taking part in this challenge is my way of doing something positive with that experience — showing up each day, building consistency, and contributing in a small way to something bigger.

I’ll be fitting the 31 minutes in however I can — netball, walking, yoga, strength sessions at home, or even just a quick treadmill session on the busy days. The goal is simple: just keep showing up.

I’ve set a modest fundraising target of $310, which works out to $10 a day across May. If you’re able to support, I’d be incredibly grateful — every contribution helps fund vital research and support services for people affected by cancer.

If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page is just as appreciated.

Thank you for your support — it genuinely means a lot.

My Updates

Off to a Flying Start — Thank You 💛

Thursday 30th Apr
A quick update before May even begins…

I set out to raise $310 for this challenge — and thanks to the incredible support so far, I’ve already passed that goal ahead of day one.

I honestly didn’t expect to get there so quickly, and I’m really grateful to everyone who has donated and shared this page.

Because of that, I’ve decided to raise the bar and set a new target of $500.

The challenge itself starts tomorrow, and I’ll be committing to 31 minutes of movement every day — whether that’s netball, walking, yoga, or a quick session on the treadmill.

The goal hasn’t changed: just keep showing up, one day at a time.

If you’d still like to support or share, I’d love to see how far we can take this together.

Thank you again — it means more than I can say.
