200km to F*Cancer this May!
Cancer isn’t just something I’ve heard about it’s something that has touched my life deeply.
A few years ago my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, and while she did kick cancers ass (something I am endlessly grateful for), it completely changed the way I see health, life, and the people I love. Watching someone you care about go through that is something that stays with you.
The truth is, it’s not just my mum. Too many people in my life friends, family, people in my community have been affected by cancer in some way. It feels like it’s everywhere, and I don’t want to just stand by and do nothing.
That’s why I’m doing this challenge.
Life has been busy, and I’ve put my own health on the back burner. But this feels like the right time to change that.
So this May, I’m challenging myself to walk 200km!!! a goal that will push me physically and mentally, and keep me accountable to showing up every single day.
This challenge is my fresh start, my way of showing up for myself, building healthier habits again, and proving that it’s never too late to begin.
Healthy eating and exercise are such important parts of prevention and overall wellbeing, and this is my first step back into that.
At the end of the day this isn’t about me. I’m doing this to raise as much money as I can in honour of my mum, in support of those still fighting, and in memory of those we’ve lost. Every step I take is for them.
If you’re able to support me whether that’s through a donation, sharing my page, or even just cheering me on, it truly means so much.
Because at the end of the day, it’s all of us against cancer. 💛
