I’m getting active this May to say one thing: F Cancer.

In May 2024, my beautiful dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer, and in November 2024, he lost his battle, and he could finally be at peace. Even as I type this, it still feels like some kind of nightmare that I’m waiting to wake up from.

My dad was always up for a laugh and a beer with mates and never took life too seriously. He was loyal, hardworking and even though he didn’t always show it, he had the biggest heart. My heart will now never be the same, as it constantly aches and yearns for just one more camp adventure, and one more hug. F Cancer.

I used to see these fundraisers and whilst my thoughts were with those affected, I felt grateful for not knowing or losing anyone too close to me, but now, this is personal.

I’ll be getting active for 31 minutes a day for 31 days to raise funds for everyone we know and love impacted by cancer.
Cancer affects almost 1 in 2 Australians by the age of 85. It could be our mums, dads, grandparents, siblings, friends or teammates.
By donating to my challenge, you’ll help fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services at Cancer Council, to support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.
