I’m getting active this May to say one thing: F Cancer.
I’ll be getting active for 31 minutes a day for 31 days to raise funds for everyone we know and love impacted by cancer.Sadly I have had the experience of understanding how devastating cancer can be. I watched as cancer stripped my Dad of his life and watched his light fade away. It affects not only the individual but the families supporting them also. So when I say F Cancer, it really is personal.
By donating to my challenge, you’ll help fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services at Cancer Council, to support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.
Every step, every workout, every dollar raised helps us say F Cancer louder than words.
Please support my challenge and donate today.

Day 8/31 -Freezing Cold Walk with sore dead legs
Friday 8th May It was freezing cold today. The last thing I wanted to do was get out and go for a walk. But, a commitment was made and I am not going back on that. I rugged up and got out to get it done ✅ 33 freezing minutes completed Share
Day 7- 40min CrossFit Conditioning Class
Friday 8th May Wow, today’s workout was an absolute killer. Around 10 minutes into the workout I was ready to give in and it was a 40 minute workout!I reminded myself that this was nothing in comparison to what a cancer patient goes through. I dug deep and smashed it out whilst thinking of this. So glad I completed this one

Day 6 A mix of CrossFit and an afternoon walk
Wednesday 6th May Another 6am CrossFit class with a strength piece working on tempo bench press and then the workout of the day completing 2 rounds of 24 Cals on the Rower, 20 Burpee Box Jumps and 18 25kg barbell power snatches. It was a sweaty one and I finished in 16 minutes completely puffed. After work I squeezed in a 30 minute brisk walk just before the sun set. What a day!
Day 5 CrossFit Chaos
Wednesday 6th May Managed to get up for a 6am CrossFit class today. A mixture of skill work building up our skills to progress to a bar muscle up eventually and then my workout of the day comprised of Double unders with the skipping rope, weighted lunges with dumbbells and box assisted jumping chest to bar pull ups. I managed to string together my highest ever amount of double unders in a row today which was 23!! Woo hoo! Share
Day 4 Rainy Walk with Liam on his Bike
Wednesday 6th May Today I had planned to do a CrossFit session but I woke up with a headache and sore neck from sleeping oddly. I felt better by the afternoon so squeezed in a 31 minute brisk walk walk in the rain just before the sun went down. Liam decided to join me on his bike to show his support and to say F* Cancer for taking his Pop away from him too early Share
