F Cancer Fitness Challenge

My target 960mins

31 mins x 31 days

I’m getting active this May to say one thing: F Cancer.

I’ll be getting active for 31 minutes a day for 31 days to raise funds for everyone we know and love impacted by cancer.

Cancer affects almost 1 in 2 Australians by the age of 85. It could be our mums, dads, grandparents, siblings, friends or teammates. When I say F Cancer, it’s personal.

I am a cancer survivor myself and have recently made 10 years clear!  Life has not been the same since cancer and as a result of having my thyroid removed, some days are still a struggle. I gained 20 kilos after my surgery and suffered poor mental health.

Everyone's cancer journey is so personal, it challenges you in so many ways you never thought possible.

So this year I'm aiming to raise $1000 to support those going through a hard time. I'm supporting friends, new and old, family and relatives and those quietly doing it tough,  physically and mentally.

The gym really turned my life around,  i train 3 days a week, but I am committing to being there everyday for the month of May for at least 31 minutes everyday for 31 days!

By donating to my challenge, you’ll help fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services at Cancer Council, to support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.

Every step, every workout, every dollar raised helps us say F Cancer louder than words.

Please support my challenge and donate today.

My Updates

For Sasha

Wednesday 29th Apr
In two days time we commence the f cancer 31 days fitness challenge.

Less than a week after signing up for this my little staffy Sasha received her second cancer diagnosis in less than 12 months.

Essentially it appears to be canine breast cancer that likely spread from the Mast Cell cancers she had removed last year.

I signed up for all the family and friends battles and my own survival of cancer in 2015.

My motive has changed. This is for future Sasha's. A cure for cancer in humans means something special for our four legged friends too!
