My target 960mins

31 mins x 31 days

I’m getting active this May to say one thing: F Cancer.

I am using this great cause to hold myself accountable, I’ll be getting active for 31 minutes a day for 31 days to raise funds for everyone we know and love impacted by cancer.

Cancer affects almost 1 in 2 Australians by the age of 85. It could be our mums, dads, grandparents, siblings, friends or teammates. When I say F Cancer, it’s personal.

By donating to my challenge, you’ll help fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services at Cancer Council, to support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.

Every step, every workout, every dollar raised helps us say F Cancer louder than words.

Please support my challenge and donate today.

My Crossroads

Saturday 16th May
My crossroads, when faced with defeat and the demons on my back telling me I can't do it, that I wasn't good enough, that I was too old, my decision to commit to 31 minutes in 31 days was born. Not only is it holding me accountable thanks to the wonderful people who believe in me and sponsored me, it has welcomed me into a whole new community. It may not seem like much to someone but to others its a lot, and I'm super proud to be part of it.

I attended a community event today and if you haven't heard about the man who ran 58 consecutive marathons, across 58 states (60 states in US and 8 states of Australia) in 58 days in the US winter 🤯🫨 look it up "States of mind" by Lachlan Stuart! Amazing!

First day done!

Friday 1st May
Today I completed my 31 minutes walking the dogs and soccer training!

Simple things we take for granted and do on a day to day basis as fit individuals, now helping the ones in need. Its really that easy and there is still time to donate or join me on this journey 🫶

My why.....

Monday 27th Apr

Over the years, I have watched far too many family members and friends battle an incurable disease. Each time, the experience has been deeply confronting, not only because of the suffering they endure, but because of the overwhelming sense of helplessness it leaves behind. When someone you care about is fighting something you cannot fix, it changes your perspective in ways that are difficult to put into words.

In those moments, doing nothing feels unbearable. You search for ways to contribute, to support, to make even the smallest difference. For me, that realization has led to a simple but meaningful decision: if there is any way I can help in the fight, even by raising a modest amount of money, then it is worth doing.

Fundraising may not cure the disease, but it represents action. It transforms helplessness into purpose. It is a way of standing alongside those who are fighting, rather than feeling like a bystander. Every contribution, no matter how small, becomes part of a larger effort toward progress, awareness, and hope.

This is not about grand gestures or achieving large targets. It is about refusing to remain passive in the face of something so impactful. If my efforts can contribute even a little, whether by supporting research, improving care, or simply raising awareness then I know I have done something meaningful.

And in doing so, that sense of helplessness begins to fade, replaced instead by a quiet sense of purpose .
