F Cancer Fitness Challenge

My Activity Tracking

My target 960mins

31 mins x 31 days

Archer and I are getting active this May to say one thing: F Cancer.

Ok it's going to be easy for Archer not so easy for me! However we will be getting active for 31 minutes a day for 31 days to raise funds for everyone we know and love impacted by cancer.

Cancer affects almost 1 in 2 Australians by the age of 85. It could be our mums, dads, grandparents, siblings, friends or teammates. When I say F Cancer, it’s personal.

By donating to my challenge, you’ll help fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services at Cancer Council, to support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.

Every step, every workout, every dollar raised helps us say F Cancer louder than words.

Please support our challenge and donate today.

My Updates

Tuesday 5/5

Tuesday 5th May
Day 8 and I struggled to get out of bed today. No morning walk and no morning work out just a hot morning tea in bed.
So I came home and took Wookiee and mr nonstopchatter for a walk. Although Arch hasn't done any exercise with me he has been doing his 30 minutes. He rides to school and back each day. He usually is playing soccer or footy at lunch times and he does 2 hrs hockey training, hockey games can be 1-2 a week he umpires 2-3 games so he is certainly not the slacker I paint him.or mr procrastinator he just loves his sleep at the moment which is so normal for teenage boys. Anyway back to my walk today. The sky certainly light up for us. The pretty colours were magical. My photos don't so it justice.

Monday May the 4th.

Monday 4th May
Well today I needed the force to come be with me! Oh dear. The desire to stay in bed and snooze was real!
I did it though. I got up and did one of the work out I did last week on the first days. And guess what I didn't rock and roll about I didn't stop because it hurt too much and I finished it all without skipping a rep she did 8.i did 8. I do need to work on my coordination though that's all outta wack but boy does it feel good feeling the progress. Tha ks to all who have donated and are cheering me on.

Sunday 3/5

Sunday 3rd May
Well procrastination has hit! It's only officially day three! But my day 7.
I woke to do my morning workout and all the house was up so I decided it was more important to capitalise on the quiet time in bed.

The day quickly got away from me and I still had not done a step of formal activity. I'd walked the shops and hung the washing but that's all part of living right?
So I decided to bake two oat slices for school snack and get dinner started. That's exercising isn't it???  I put the goulash in the over my shoes on my feet and off I went for a walk with Wookiee and my youngest. We walked a good distance and I was hoping he would be so tired and just walk. Oh boy was I wrong. My mum would be laughing so much because he did not draw breath. I reckon he could run a marathon in a minute flat if he ran as fast and as much as he talked. With his talking came inappropriate comments or observations which is normally no issues except this one comment about how ridiculous it was to have your bbq and perfect pram on the kerb seen the owners of said property right there adding more items to their throw out pile. So embarrassed I said mate they clearly don't need it or its broken and quickly walked away.

So we completed an 1.15 walk and he is still chatting his heart out!!  The dog is clearly drinking the same koolaide as he is doing zoomies.

I'm sorting out pasta for the goulash so no rest but I can say I'm glad I did go on the walk and procrastination didn't win.

Saturday 2/5

Saturday 2nd May
Well I had great plans today to walk around the hockey fields whilst Archer umpired and Nate played. All great plans fail at times... Clearly the universe wanted me to do other things. Today I was running the width of the hockey field coaching the littlest players. What a work out that was. 1 hr cardio and hearing children to spread out step back stocks down and watch the swings. I need a strong drink because those who really know me know I am not really up on playing hockey I just watch the boys play. Look out world

Friday 1/5

Saturday 2nd May
Challenge officially started and I slept in. Which meant I couldn't do my morning walk or workout as we re officially running late such an official day!

So I had to be creative and did a sneaking workout in my lunch break. Thankfully I was WFH so could do it.

I am getting really good at holding the stretch or exercise without falling over or getting any type of wobbles from the stealth ones to the death ones. Still having a great laugh all the whole.

My side kick is doing a great job at showing me how to.sleep.in however he did play an hr game of hockey so he can be excused and has also officially kicked of his challenge too.

Thursday 30/4

Thursday 30th Apr
So today is day 4 for me. I was rudely awoke by my husband bashing the door down and remotely turning on and off the bedroom lights because he locked himself out of the house and garage. So that was enough for my procrastination to.kick in. However i got up and walked Nate to.oosh with the dog. A great hilly walk!
Tomorrow is the official start of Fk Cancer month. I'm keen to keep this motivation up. My offsider is.enjoying his sleep too much.

Wednesday 29/4

Wednesday 29th Apr
Well another early morning home workout session. I crack myself up when I try and do the exercises I see the extremely lean muscular lady does so effortlessly steady not huffing or puffing. It's certainly been a motivator to get up and get active. My side kick has taken over as king procrastinator. I'll let him off because let's face it he is so skinny he can afford to sleep in and not move an extra 30 minutes of his day.

Tuesday 28/4

Tuesday 28th Apr
I woke normal time today but with a reason to jump out of bed. Today I did a home Pilates work out. My goodness it was hilarious my stomach hurts from laughing at myself and the inability to do stretches lol I took a video but can't upload it. My muscles can confirm I did complete a 35 min work out hahah effectively may be in question!

Monday 27/4

Monday 27th Apr
Well I don't see the point in waiting till Friday so off I went this morning Wookiee in toe to start the challenge. I left the 14 year old he had some excuse which surprised me but I guess the apple doesn't fall far! 😜
Wookiee didn't want a bar of it either he kept sitting down lol I think the speed was not the one he would prefer but I'm not here to do a leisurely stroll this needs to be more that just ticking boxes. I can tick boxes in my sleep this needs more effort so i will give it.
