Before Christmas of 2023, my beloved Mum received the news that she had terminal cancer. Last year, her valiant fight came to an end.
Our border collie, Alfred, came into our lives just before her diagnosis. At first, we were nervous. Having an endlessly energetic puppy whilst battling chemo and radiation appointments was a scary thought. Little did we know that this ball of devilish fun would become our anchor during a time where hope was hard to maintain.
My Mum loved Alfred more than her sweet heart could bare. In June, my best boy and I will be putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters. Together, we hope to support life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.
