My target 50kms

Please sup-pawt me

This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.

Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.

If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

My Updates

Day 7 of Dog Walk for Cancer 💙🐾

Sunday 7th Jun
Today’s Dog Walk for Cancer adventure took me to Kangaroo Point with my friend Luna and our mums.

We started with a game of ball on the riverbank. Luna was having such a good time that she decided the ball would be even more fun if it was in the Brisbane River. This led to Mum and Luna’s mum, doing a rather frantic impression of lifeguards while trying to convince Luna that swimming with the bull sharks was not part of today’s fundraising activities.

Personally, I thought the whole thing looked highly suspicious. As everyone knows, water is where baths come from, so I stayed well away from it and supervised safely from the sand.

Once the excitement was over, Mum, Luna and her Mum,  and I headed off for our longest walk of the fundraiser so far along the river. We clocked up some great kilometres, enjoyed the sunshine, and had a lovely catch-up along the way.

Thank you to everyone supporting my Dog Walk for Cancer journey. Every step helps raise funds for a cause that has touched so many families, including Mum’s.

Now, after all that exercise and shark surveillance, I have some very important napping to  do.

🐾 Day 1 of Dog Walk for Cancer! 🐾
The good news: my official Dog Walk for Cancer bandanna arrived in time.
The bad news: apparently it was designed for a horse. 🤷‍♂️
Mum made me wear it anyway and, to add insult to injury, she also made me have a bath before my photoshoot. I would just like everyone to know the level of sacrifice I’m making for this fundraiser. I feel this alone deserves a donation. 🚿😒
We made a modest start towards our 50km challenge for June, but don’t worry, I’ve already informed Mum that I fully expect us to exceed our target. After all, somebody has to take this job seriously.
If you’d like to support my walk, that’s wonderful. If not, that’s okay too. A cheer from the sidelines is always appreciated. ❤️
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to recover from my traumatic bathing experience.
