Dog Walk for Cancer 2026

My Activity Tracking

103
kms

My target 100kms

Please sup-pawt Ellie and I

This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.

Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.

If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

My Updates

Time flys when you are walking a lot

Wednesday 1st Jul
Ellie and I have done it. We got to our walking target, fundraising target, and want to thank all of you for your support and especially to those who donated. Every bit helps and my very modest $352 contribution will go towards helping people with cancer. Thanks again.

A week to go and getting the kms in

Wednesday 24th Jun
Well it is only six more days of the fundraiser to go and Ellie and I have racked up more points than England can in the World Cup :-)

We have kicked goals for our fundraising target and distances to walk and there is still time for you to support us get important funding available for cancer research.

halfway there

Tuesday 16th Jun
Halfway through the month and halfway to my target of 100km walked over the month. Some benefits to the walking include Ellie making patterns in the wet grass as she gets her pre-walk chase and catch the ball exercise then we do a few km together.

one week in and nearly on target

Sunday 7th Jun
Seven days of dog walk for cancer and 1/5 of the distance reached, and 3 dollars short of the fundraising target. Hope you can support this great cause, help raise funds to fight cancer and tell it to f*^k off.  Any amount helps. Cheers

nearly a fifth of target distance walked

Friday 5th Jun
As I said before, we all know some one  with cancer and this week has more significance with cancer taking the life of a person I have known since 1988. Every day there is some one struggling with the reality of this insidious disease, their families, children, relatives. Please donate whatever you can. It all goes to help.

Off with a step

Tuesday 2nd Jun
Ellie and I have got our steps underway and started with some beach side ball chasing at Brighton and a short walk along the paths before a wash and clean at PetBarn and a walk to the local park to dry out whilst the sun shone.

Day 2 was a little more determined with a longer walk around the suburb, its interesting to look around the area you usually drive through every time.

Thank you to my suppawters
