This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.
My Updates
The reason
Saturday 16th MayI’m walking not only for a family member currently battling cancer, but in memory of loved ones we’ve lost along the way and the friends and families around me who are facing this fight right now, the people showing incredible strength through treatments, uncertainty, heartbreak, and hope.
This walk means more to me than just putting one foot in front of the other. It’s about honouring the people we love, raising awareness, supporting research, and reminding those fighting that they are not alone.
If this fundraiser can help bring hope, support families, or contribute in even the smallest way toward a future without cancer, then every step will be worth it.
Thank you for supporting us, cheering us on, and helping us walk for something bigger than ourselves. 🤍
