Please sup-pawt me
This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.
My Updates
My first day of journey
Monday 1st JunHi there,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
This is the very first time I have taken part in a fundraiser for cancer research, and I would like to share a little of my story with you.
Like many people, I never imagined that I would be diagnosed with cancer. I felt healthy, and I thought I was too young to be worrying about something like that. My life was not perfect, but it was happy, and I was grateful for it.
When I was told I had cancer, everything changed. I had to put many parts of my life on hold and focus on my health. Thankfully, I was supported by an incredible medical team and wonderful organisations such as the Cancer Council. Their phone support, resources, and workshops helped me navigate one of the most challenging periods of my life.
Today, I am in a position where I can give back and support others who may be walking a similar path. While cancer continues to affect millions of lives, research gives us hope. Every breakthrough starts with people who care enough to help make a difference.
Cancer is closer and more personal than many of us realise. It can touch anyone—our family, our friends, our colleagues, or even ourselves.
Thank you for being here and for supporting this cause. Together, we can help create a better future for those affected by cancer and contribute to the research that brings hope to so many.
With gratitude,
