Dog Walk for Cancer 2026

My Activity Tracking

74
kms

My target 100kms

Please sup-pawt me

This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.

Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.

If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

My Updates

First day kick off

Monday 1st Jun
So I wanted to go somewhere special for a cool hike on the first day. Unfortunately, we currently really don't have a working car right now and the weather has gone full winter mode early.

So we went on our usual walk today. It starts off with a nice round the block wander with some loud roads, but some quality sniffs. This takes a good 40 minutes and about 4 and a half kms. We then hit the trail down to the wet lands, have a nice stroll through there and willow was very excited to see some of the storks wandering around. She would absolutely dive into the ponds if given the chance.

Today we decided to go a little bit further and took a break at the dog park for some sweet ball throwing actions and hydration rest. No one was there today in either the small or large section, but she was happy to sniff and chase the ball. We then wandered some more trails and a bit more cheeky fetch on the soccer ovals. Willow was getting pretty tired at this stage so decided to end it there and head back home.

Pretty successful start to the month, nine and a half kms down and a very happy and tired pup. Hopefully we can go explore some exciting areas if the weather calms down and I score some new wheels. I probably won't update every walk but will do the first and some special ones, at least once a week.

Hey Everyone

Monday 18th May
Willow and I are walking for cancer in June.

As most of you know, my lovely wife Emery was diagnosed with two separate and rare forms of cancer in 2024. APML especially is incredibly rare and without some extremely effective research in the last 20 years, it would have been extremely likely to have a far worse outcome. Early detection and new treatment methods have turned the tables on one of the fastest killing versions of this horrible disease.

We will be trying to smash out over 100km next month, which Willow is very happy to hear about extra long walks. If you are in a position to and feel so inclined, please donate, share or send through a motivational message.

Times are tough so please put yourself first and only donate if you are truly able.

I am awful with keeping people up to date with what is going on, but I will try my best to take some pics and update on our walks and any cool places we explore. I plan to venture out into new areas and let willow have a blast while doing this.

Love you all!

Thank you to my suppawters
