This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

50km Dog Walk For Cancer Donations
Saturday 2nd MayPaws for a Cause: Join Our Cancer Donation Dog Walk
There’s something special about the way a dog brings people together — a shared smile, a wagging tail, a sense of comfort that words often can’t express. Now imagine that same joy and connection being used to support something truly meaningful. That’s exactly what our Cancer Donation Dog Walk is all about.
This event isn’t just a walk in the park. It’s a community coming together with purpose — to support those affected by cancer, to honour loved ones, and to contribute to life-saving research and care. Every step taken, every paw that hits the ground, is a small but powerful act of hope.
Cancer has touched so many lives. Whether it’s a friend, a family member, or even your own journey, the impact is undeniable. Events like this remind us that no one has to face it alone. By participating, you’re helping fund critical research, improve patient support services, and bring us closer to a future where cancer is no longer a life-threatening diagnosis.
And let’s not forget our four-legged companions. Dogs have an incredible ability to lift spirits, reduce stress, and provide comfort — something that’s especially important for those going through difficult times. This walk celebrates that bond while turning it into something bigger than all of us.
Whether you’re walking in memory of someone, supporting a loved one, or simply wanting to make a difference, you’re welcome here. Bring your dog, your friends, your family — or just yourself. Every कदम counts.
On the day, expect a vibrant, supportive atmosphere filled with wagging tails, laughter, and shared stories. There will be opportunities to donate, connect with others, and learn more about how your contribution makes an impact.
If you can’t attend, you can still support the cause by donating or spreading the word. Awareness is just as powerful as action.
Together, we can turn a simple walk into something extraordinary.
Join us. Walk with us. Make a difference — one step, one paw, one life at a time.
