This June, me and my dog Nugget are trying to fundraise for cancer council by walking 50kms.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that, My Dad was one of the 1 in 2 people to be diagnosed with cancer who unfortunately lost his sudden battle with brain cancer.
Every kilometre walked is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
Cancer Council acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We pay our respects to the elders past and present and extend that respect to all other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
