This June, Jimmy and I are taking part in the Cancer Councilās 50 km Do It For Cancer Dog Walking Challenge to help raise funds for cancer research and support services. Cancer has impacted someone very close to me, so this challenge is especially meaningful. Weāll be walking throughout the month to support those affected by cancer and to help make a difference for families going through tough times. Thank you so much for any support or donation ā it truly means a lot!Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words āyou have cancerā. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because itās all of us, humans and pups, in this together.
My Updates
Thank you š
Wednesday 1st JulA huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared my fundraiser, and sent such kind messages of support. Iām honestly gobsmacked by the generosity youāve shown. Together we raised an incredible $4,106 ā well over my fundraising goal!
Cancer sucks. It affects far too many people and families, and I hope that through fundraising and ongoing research weāll continue moving closer to a future where itās no longer something so many of us have to face.
Iām so grateful to have been able to contribute to such an important cause, and every dollar raised will help make a real difference.
Thank you again for all your suppawt š¾š
Goal Achieved! š¾
Tuesday 30th JunJimmy and I are so excited to have reached both our walking goal and our fundraising goal for the Do It For Cancer Dog Walking Challenge!
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared my page, followed our journey, and cheered us on throughout the month. Your encouragement and generosity have meant so much, and together weāve been able to support a cause thatās incredibly important.
Today is the final day of the challenge, so thereās still time to make a difference before it wraps up tonight. If youāve been thinking about donating, thereās still an opportunity to support cancer research and the incredible support services Cancer Council provides.
Thank you again for being part of this journey with us. We truly couldnāt have done it without you! šš¾
š¾ Just 5 Days to Go! š¾
Thursday 25th JunJimmy and I are into the final five days of the Do It For Cancer Dog Walking Challenge.
Itās been great to get out there, clock up the kilometres, and raise funds for such an important cause. Jimmy has been a very enthusiastic walking buddy and has made sure we havenāt missed too many opportunities to get moving!
A big thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, or supported our fundraising throughout the month so far. Your generosity is helping make a difference, and weāre excited to finish the challenge strong. š
š One Paw at a Time
Sunday 14th JunHi everyone, Jimmy here! š¾
I've been helping my human clock up the kilometres for the Do It For Cancer Dog Walking Challenge before they head off for fieldwork.
It's been been cold, but that hasn't stopped me from getting out for walks, sniffing everything in sight, and leading the way.Ā We even had another human join us on one of our adventures, which meant even more company and attention for me!
Thanks to everyone who has supported our fundraising so far. Your donations are helping a great cause, and they also give me an excellent excuse to keep dragging my human out for more walks! š
