This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.
My Updates
Last leg of the Dog Walk for Cancer
Monday 22nd Jun
This is more than just a walk with your beloved pooch. It's taking each step thinking of and remembering the warriors that have passed away, the ones that are still battling, and the ones that are fortunately in remission from cancer.
It's more than just counting steps, distance, calories burnt or even raising money. Sure, raising the money is extremely important. But for me, it is pushing my comfort zone and walking for all that are and have been affected by cancer.
