This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

Every time you post about this my brain tries to build a joke around the ambiguous phrasing of a dog "walking for cancer", but the punchlines always ends up something along the lines of "good dogs shouldn't have to perform for cancer, they should get it for free", and obviously that's an insanely dark joke to make. Anyway now that I've shared that brain parasite with you and paid $10 for my crimes hopefully I'll be free of it.

Did you know if you inhale a pea it can sprout and grow inside your lungs?

Thinking of you both on those fresh cold walks, I’m glad Kipp is with you every step of the way just like your Mum would be. Such a special lady she was, I will never forget our adventures, book sharing, water aerobic classes, late night backyard pool swims and the twilight obsession amongst the many more memories. Fk cancer!
