Dog Walk for Cancer 2026

My Activity Tracking

57
kms

My target 100kms

Please sup-pawt me

This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.

Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words ā€œyou have cancerā€. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.

If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

My Updates

Who am I?

Saturday 13th Jun
Day 13 - who even am I?? 3.6kms before sunrise on dreary, raining Saturday morning! Thanks to everyone who has donated so far and keeping me accountable ā¤ļø

Angel and devil

Friday 12th Jun
Day 12 - a good and a bad dog joined me on my walk today. We drove home via the dog wash after the bad dogs escapades!

Beautiful night

Thursday 11th Jun
Day 11 - A night walk this evening in the CBD for a change.Ā

Consistency

Wednesday 10th Jun
Day 10. - some days it’s just about consistency and showing up and sometimes you surprise even yourself . I didn’t want to be walk at all, committed to 2 but then made it to my daily target. That’s a small win today.Ā

True crime

Tuesday 9th Jun
Day 9 -some walks are for putting your air pods in and blocking out the day for an hour and just getting it done.

Poo bags

Monday 8th Jun
Ā As I enter week 2 of my 100km dog walking journey for June I am reflecting on how many šŸ’© bags I have used. Horrified when one of my walking buddies decides to choose a VERY public spot today in front of a big audience. Ā šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Road trip

Sunday 7th Jun
Day 7 - Morning beach walks and mid road trip strolls meant 2 walks for dogs today. We will all sleep tonight.

Dogs choice

Saturday 6th Jun
Not all walks are ā€œDogs choiceā€ walks. Don’t get me wrong, they would choose ANY walk but the beach is their happy place (I can relate, especially on a tropical vacation with cocktail in hand). Dogs choice walks usually involve lots of stopping to read ā€œpee mailsā€, throw sticks or balls and if given a tiny bit of encouragement a swim. They are not about the pace but the journey!

Another day

Friday 5th Jun
Ā getting it done for Cancer research and the dogs don’t mind a single bit!

Thanks!

Tuesday 2nd Jun
Big thanks to those Ā who have donated so far, this motivation got me out of the house on a cold, wet and windy night and added to my step total. Thank you šŸ™Ā

First day of a Tassie winter

Monday 1st Jun
A wet and windy first walk tonight. Thanks to my partner in crime for escorting me on a cold and wet night. You rock Andrew Stebbings. Tilly and Louie did not mind the weather. Rain hail or shine!!

Practice makes pawfect 🐾

Saturday 30th May
Louie, Tilly and I have been pounding the pavement and bounding along the beaches in preparation for our 50kms in June. We have set ourselves a new challenge of 100kms. Winter in Tassie with 2 dogs in tow this may be a challenge but we are committed….rain, hail or shine!

Thank you to my suppawters
