Hi everyone 🐾💛
After several highly unproductive meetings, intense treat negotiations, questionable leadership decisions and absolutely no agreement on pace… our fundraising committee is officially ready.
This June, Willow, Atticus, Indy, Frankie the dachshund and I are taking on the 50km Dog Walk for Cancer to raise funds for Cancer Council Australia.
Our team roles are as follows:
🐾 Willow – morale officer and chief motivator
🐾 Atticus – head of public relations (specialises in cute looks)
🐾 Indy – snack quality control and emotional support
🐾 Frankie (the dachshund) – tiny legs, enormous opinions, demands frequent breaks
Together, we’re aiming to walk 50km across the month of June — one paw at a time.
Every walk, every wag, every suspiciously long sniff stop and every kilometre will help raise money for life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services for Australians impacted by cancer.
Cancer affects so many families — almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed by age 85 — which is why this cause means so much to us.
This walk is also held close to my heart and done with love and remembrance for people we miss deeply.
