This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Councilā€™s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.

Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words ā€œyou have cancerā€. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.

If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because itā€™s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

We've made it to 62km today and we still have 11 days to go.

We are at the end of our third week of this 4 week challenge and still going strong. Dougie and his 2IC are very grateful for all the support so many people have shown for this wonderful cause. Hi Everyone.Ā  It's me, Dougie.Ā  You would think that the wet weather we're having here in Brisbane is stopping us from going out on our twice daily walks, wouldn't you? But my 2IC has been very busy looking up the weather app on her phone and she always knows when to make a break for it and get us out.Ā  I personally don't mind getting a bit of mud on my paws, but 2IC isn't too keen on me bringing my muddy paw prints back to the house.Ā  Drama Queen.

It's me, Dougie!!!!Ā  You would think the rain would put us off going for our twice daily walks, wouldn't you?Ā  But my 2IC is watching her weather app very closely and she gets us out when there's a bit of a break in the rain showers.Ā  I personally enjoy a bit of mud on my paws, but the 2IC isn't too keen on me bringing my muddy paw prints back into the house.
