Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be impacted by cancer by the age of 85. That statistic alone is why this cause means so much to me. ā¤ļø
In 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was one of the hardest times of my life, but I was incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so much love, support, care and strength from family, friends and my medical team. Today, Iā€™m grateful to say Iā€™m in remission. šŸ™
More recently, I went through a biopsy for melanoma, and after a very stressful wait, thank God the results came back negative. Experiences like these are a reminder of how important cancer research, prevention programs and support services truly are.
Thatā€™s why Miles, Nacho and I are taking on a challenge to complete 70km by the end of June to help raise funds for this incredible cause. Every walk completed and every dollar raised helps support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.
