Please sup-pawt me
This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.
My Updates
Roly
Sunday 10th MayIn August 2024, I lost Roly to cancer just weeks after his diagnosis. His loss was sudden and deeply heartbreaking. This year, I’m walking to raise money for cancer in his memory — to honor the beautiful, happy, and deeply loved soul he was.
Roly was healthy, cherished, and so well cared for, which makes his loss even harder to understand. Thankfully, he left me with Lassie, whose daily walks have helped carry me through the grief and fill some of the space Roly left behind.
By doing this walk, I hope to feel closer to him while also helping others facing cancer. Every step is for Roly and for the hope that more families can be spared this kind of heartbreak.
