Billi Veber loved to run. She ran all over the world, in sweltering heat or gale force winds. She was a marathon winner and my first memories of being in WA were spent with her running (albeit very reluctantly and slowly on my end) to Warnbro beach with her dogs Loretta and Buddy. She took time on her runs to express gratitude and appreciation of our local native fauna - her other passion and all of the good things she had in life, which is something I think we should all to a little bit more of!
The world lost Billi on April 28th 2026. To honour her memory, and her love of moving, grooving and doggies, this June, my Mini-dachshund Hazel and I will be walking 100km to help fund life saving cancer research.
Please donate, share, or come for a walk with Hazel and I!
Thank you!
