Dog Walk for Cancer 2026

My Activity Tracking

95
kms

My target 50kms

Please sup-pawt me

This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.

Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.

If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

My Updates

From Brandy: Walking for a Brother I Never Met 🐾

Tuesday 2nd Jun
Hi. I’m Brandy.
I never met my big brother Bingo. He went to the rainbow bridge before I was born.

But I know him.

My pawrents show me pictures. She tells me how he was 18 years old. How he got nasal cancer and was super brave during radiation. How the cancer went away and everyone celebrated. How she only got three more months with him before other sick stuff took him.

She still cries sometimes when she talks about him.
So I sit on her feet. It’s my job.
That’s why I’m walking for cancer this year.

For humans.

Because I heard what Bingo went through. And I heard how much those three extra months meant. I want other families to get more than three months. I want them to get 18 years. I want them to get forever.

I never got to boop noses with Bingo. But I can walk for him.

It helps the smart human doctors fight cancer.

I think Bingo would like that. I think he’d like me, too.

Love,

Brandy 🧡

This is why I walk

Tuesday 26th May
This is why I walk 🐾

In 2012 my world stopped when Mum was diagnosed with stage 2 thymus cancer — a rare one most people haven’t heard of.

What followed: a major open wound surgery, chemo after chemo, radiation after radiation. There were days we didn’t know what would happen next.

But she’s one of the strongest people I know. After years of treatment, she’s now in remission. The scans are clear. Cancer didn’t come back.

I never take that for granted.

So I’m joining Dog Walk for Cancer because I know firsthand how much research, support, and funding matters. It’s the reason my mum is still here to laugh with us, to annoy me, to be Mum.

I’m walking for her, and for all the families who are still in the middle of the fight. If you’d like to support, the link is in my bio. Every dollar is a step toward more remissions. 💛
