Because Cancer Took Too Much!
Cancer has left its mark on my life in ways I carry every day. I’ve had to say goodbye to people I love because of it, and I’ve stood beside others as they faced the fight of their lives. I’ve seen the strength it takes, the uncertainty, and the heartbreak that comes with those 3 words: you have cancer.
It’s something no one should have to go through, yet so many do.
This June, I’m taking on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer, with my dog by my side.
Some days it will just be a walk, other days it will be a reflection, thinking about the people I’ve lost and the ones still fighting.
Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85. That’s not just a statistic it’s our families, our friends, our community.
Every step we take is for those who have gone, for those still in the fight, and for those who will one day hear the words that change everything. And every dollar raised will go towards life-saving research, prevention, and support services helping people get through the hardest moments of their lives.
This isn’t just a challenge for me. It’s personal.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together. Every dollar helps!
