Please sup-pawt me
This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.
Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.
If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.
My Updates
Starting Early
Thursday 7th May Hello!I just wanted to start with the fact I have started my walking early. Today I walked 4km and that included mowing the front lawn.
The main reason I need to start my attempt at 50km early is because I have a chronic health condition and movement isn't exactly easy for me, but having dealt with cancer of my dad 20 years ago, a little discomfort on my part to help raise much needed funds for cancer research is something I am ok with. Slow and steady wins the race!
