I’m getting active this May to say one thing: F Cancer.
I’ll be getting active for 31 minutes a day for 31 days to raise funds in honour of the people in my family, my friends families and people in my community who are impacted by cancer. This overarching term of ‘cancer’ feels so normalised to be thrown around and at this point feels like an inevitable thing.
Cancer affects almost 1 in 2 Australians by the age of 85.
Cancer affects almost 1 in 2 Australians by the age of 85.
That’s fucked.
It’s only when it happens to someone close to you that it really sinks in the major impacts and fuckery it causes not only medically but emotionally for the individuals, friends and family.
By donating to my challenge, you’ll help fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services at Cancer Council, to support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.
Cancer Council acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We pay our respects to the elders past and present and extend that respect to all other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
