Cancer sucks.
Cancer only affects a few people here and there, but never me, nor my friends or family.
That's what I thought until my best friend's aunty suddenly passed away from breast cancer a couple years ago.
Nobody is safe. Cancer is waiting to strike anyone, any time of their life. About 1 in 2 Aussies are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, so I want to help Cancer Council support people affected by cancer.
I'm running the Canberra Half Marathon in April 2025 to raise money to fight cancer, but the catch is I've never run anything close to 21km and I only have 5 weeks to train. Most people take 3-6 months to train. I'm that determined.
