I’m taking on an epic challenge this October – and I need your support.

I’ll be walking 58km for the 58 Aussies diagnosed with breast cancer every day. And to help find the next breast cancer breakthrough.

Breast cancer is a topic that sits very close to my family. In February 2023 when I was 14 my mum was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer but fortunately it was found very early on. Although it was early that does not mean it didn’t have a massive impact on my family and her. Two years prior my father had passed and my family was shaken deeply so this diagnosis of my mums breast cancer just felt like the world was against my family. But as my mum battled everyday throughout all the stages of her treatment and so on I admired her endlessly. She provided me with hope that the world wasn’t against us when she was fighting her own battles. No child should ever have to worry about losing their parent to breast cancer or watching them struggle. No mother or father should have to watch their child battle this awful cancer. No person should ever have to experience the pain that is breast cancer and the true cruelty of this cancer. I am forever grateful that my mum got an early diagnosis and battled through. Some days she couldn’t get out bed, some days she would work from home to support our family, some days she’d be happy like nothings wrong. But everyday she would always put me and my brother first and there is no person I admire more than her.  So I want to do this walk to help stop this from happening to other families and persons around the world as nobody deserves this feeling. My mum is the strongest woman I know and my biggest role model in life so I want to do this walk for every moment she wanted to give up but didn’t. I want to do this walk to support the families and individuals affected by Breast cancer.
