I’m taking on an epic challenge this October – and I need your support.

PINK 💗

In December 2022, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

It was one of the scariest and most stressful things I have ever been through, and it changed me in ways I never expected. Cancer doesn’t just affect the person who is diagnosed it affects the people who love them too.

When I was diagnosed, I discovered that one of my friends was also going through breast cancer. Then, over the months that followed, more and more women I knew were diagnosed.

And then there was my beautiful friend Trace. 💗
Trace was diagnosed after me and fought metastatic breast cancer. Sadly, I lost her this year.

That makes this walk incredibly personal.

This October I’ll be walking 58 km for the 58 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer every single day but I’m hoping to walk at least three times that distance, and maybe even more.

I know how frightening the words “You have breast cancer” can be. I know the waiting, the scans, the needle biopsies, the surgeries, the tears, the fear, and the enormous relief when you are finally given some hope.

I am one of the lucky ones who is still here to tell my story, but I also live with the reality that my breast cancer was a rare type with a higher risk of recurrence. That uncertainty never completely disappears.

Losing Trace has made this challenge mean even more to me. I’ll be walking for her, for the women going through treatment now, for the women who will hear those frightening words tomorrow, and for every family whose life has been changed by cancer.

If sharing my story encourages even one woman to have her breast screening, or helps raise money towards better treatments, research and support, then it is worth it.

If you would like to support my walk, even the smallest donation would mean so much to me. You really don’t have to donate much … even $2 helps, and it all adds up. 💗

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has donated, shared, encouraged me or simply followed along.

Love life. Love the people in it. And never take tomorrow for granted. ❤️

Thank you to my supporters
