Welcome to my 58km Challenge for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💖
Every single day in Australia, 58 people receive the news that they have breast cancer. This October, I am lacing up my sneakers to walk 58 kilometers—one for every Aussie diagnosed today, tomorrow, and every day this month—to raise vital funds for life-saving research.
This cause is deeply personal to me. As a breast cancer survivor now celebrating 4 years cancer-free, I know firsthand how terrifying that diagnosis can be. The treatment journey was one of the toughest things I've ever faced, and while it left me with lifelong side effects, it also gave me an overwhelming gratitude for the gift of life and the simple ability to move my body.
This will be my second year taking on an October walking challenge, and every step I take is dedicated to:
- The Fighters: Standing beside those currently in the thick of treatment.
- The Survivors: Celebrating every single milestone alongside my fellow warriors.
- The Angels: Honoring the beautiful souls we have lost far too soon.
All funds raised through my page go directly to Cancer Council to support ground-breaking research, prevention programs, and support services for patients and their families.
Whether you are able to donate, share my page, or simply send some encouraging words, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It really is all of us against cancer! 🎀🎗️💪
Thank you for your love and support,
Kelly
