Dog Walk for Cancer 2026

My Activity Tracking

126
kms

My target 100kms

Please sup-pawt me

This June, my dog is leading the way as we take on Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer challenge.

Almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by age 85, so every step we take will help change that. With every wag, walkies and sniff stop, we're putting one paw in front of the other for a cause that matters.

Every kilometre my pup and I walk is for everyone who has heard, or will hear, the words “you have cancer”. And every dollar we raise together will help fund life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and essential support services for people impacted by cancer.

If you can, please donate to keep our paws moving and help tackle cancer alongside us. Because it’s all of us, humans and pups, in this together.

My Updates

100 KM COMPLETED

Wednesday 24th Jun
Before the end of the month, my dogs and I reached the 100 km goal in the Dog Walk for Cancer Challenge.

Over the past few weeks we walked in rain and sunshine, watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets, dodged cats perched proudly in front yards and windows, and even shared the path with wandering turkeys.

Each kilometre was completed with purpose. These photos reveal what those kilometres looked like.

After each walk my exhausted crew collapsed wherever they landed, upside down on the floor, sprawled across the couch, or simply refusing to move. They gave their all.I’m a little disappointed that, even though we’ve reached our goal, we haven’t received any donations yet. The kilometers are complete, but the fundraising side of the challenge still needs support. If you’ve been following our journey, you may have been meaning to donate, no matter how small the amount. Now is a wonderful time, every contribution helps people and families affected by cancer and turns our 100 km effort into something even more meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us along the way. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and would love to finish this challenge with a few donations to show that every step truly made a difference. For everyone affected by cancer, this work was for you.
