58km in Memory, Hope & Support 💗

Cancer has touched my family personally.

I lost my brother to metastatic cancer caused by melanoma when he was just 46 years old. Losing him showed me just how devastating this disease can be, not only for the person facing cancer, but for everyone who loves them.

I also have an aunt who has been through breast cancer and, thankfully, is doing well today. 💗

That’s why I’ve decided to take on this 58km challenge. I’m walking for the women who are currently on their breast cancer journey, for those who have come through the other side, and in memory of those who sadly lost their battle. I’m also walking for the families and loved ones who have stood beside them every step of the way.

I’m walking in memory of my brother too, and for every person and every family whose lives have been changed by cancer.

By raising money for Cancer Council, I hope in some small way I can help fund vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services — and contribute towards the research that may one day find a cure and stop other families from having to lose someone they love to this horrible disease.

Every kilometre I walk will have a purpose. 💕

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small the amount, I would be incredibly grateful. And if you can’t donate, simply sharing my fundraising page will help too.

For my family, for your family, for those we’ve lost, for those still fighting, and for future generations — in the hope that one day, cancer will no longer take the people we love. 💗🦋
