Mother Puppers

Dog Walk for Cancer 2026

Second walk complete for Team Mother Puppers 🥰

The weather turned it on this past Saturday 13th June, to round out Week 2 of Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Walk for Cancer 💙💛

And the second group walk for Team Mother Puppers!

On Saturday, Olive & I, alongside Ali, Zed & Sunny walked 9.5kms along Newcastle Foreshore. Taking on Honeysuckle to the end of the Breakwall return, via Customs & Queens Wharf Hotel  👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻🐶🐶🐶

In addition to the usual chaos of walking 3 dogs, we had to ensure:
🍸 We met the required number of margarita stops
🍴 Enjoyed a delish lunch at QWH

All whilst managing an escape artist that goes by the name of Olive Moon!!

Lucky, Aunty Ali jumped right in & scooped Oli up after a kind couple asked us… “Is this your puppy?” 🫣 #mortified
Currently, we’re still here wondering how she got out off her harness.

Oh and did we mention… This was after Zed took a leap and tumble off of a sandstone block along Newcastle break wall.  You honestly can’t take us anywhere.

Chaos aside, it’s all for a cause incredibly close to our hearts!

Your support means the absolute world to us, so if you could, hit that “donate” button 💰
As every single $ counts.

Stay tuned as Team Mother Puppers adventures in to Week 3 👣🍃

Our first Team Mother Puppers walk 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻🐕 🐕 🐕

Today, Sunday 7th June, we embarked on our first Team #motherpuppers walk.  Starting at Speers Point Park, we completed a 10km return trip, enjoying the most delicious lunch at the Warners Bay Esplanade.

Olive, Zed and Sunny loved their first adventure, with only a little bit of chaos (lead tangles within the first 2 minutes), lots of sniff stops and plenty of pats from strangers.

Marley did decide to sit this one out, as her little 11 year old Beagle X Mini Foxie legs weren’t quite up for the distance.  But she assures us that she was cheering us on (from the comfort of) the lounge at home.

Team Mother Puppers Ali and Em, chatted the entire walk away, already planning their next walkies for the following weekend!

Thank you for following along our fundraising journey, for a cause so close to all of our hearts.
We look forward to updating you again next week 🐾

Please sup-pawt us!

This June, the Mother Puppers crew — Em, Ali, Marley, Olive, Zed and Sunny — are stepping up for the Cancer Council’s 50km Dog Wak for Cancer 💛💙

Together, we’ll be hitting the pavement all month long, powered by wagging tails, happy paws and plenty of sniff breaks along the way.

Behind every walk is a cause incredibly close to so many hearts, with almost 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.

For us, this challenge is about more than just kilometres…

Every step we take is for the people and families who have faced cancer, those currently fighting, and those who may face it in the future.  We’re walking to help raise funds for life-saving cancer research, prevention programs, and support services that make a real difference.

If you’d like to support our little pack, we’d be so thankful for any donation, big or small, to help keep our paws moving throughout June.  Because when humans and doggos come together, amazing things can happen 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻🐕 🐕 🐕 🐕
