My target 58kms

I’m taking on the Cancer Challenge this October in Memory of the many people who are diagonised with Breat cancer.

I’ll be walking 58km for the 58 Aussies diagnosed with breast cancer every day. And to help find the next breast cancer breakthrough.

Will you donate to support my challenge, and help me reach my fundraising goal?

You’ll fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services at Cancer Council, to support people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.

Cancer Council is Australia’s leading cancer charity working across every aspect of every cancer. They support families affected by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their cancer risk, and find new ways to better detect and treat cancer. With your help, we can get closer to a cancer free future.

It’s all of us against cancer.

Are you with me? Please donate to my fundraiser now.

Last Day walk

Saturday 31st Oct
A day with my Granddaughter 💕.
We decided to drive to Coogee and do the walk to Bondi, 8ks. My last walk for Breast Cancer.
Walking through Bronte I just had to check out the Baths where I learnt to swim. It still has the green wooden wall to seperate the baby pool from the deeper water where they use to have the swimming races, then checked out the huts where we use to picnic on Sundays. Then went to the fish & chip shop and had some chips. Not quite the same as the chips back then wrapped in the paper!

We had a good walk checking out the sculptures. And checking how far we had come.

To be honest we got an uber back to Coogee and the car. I feel wrecked to be honest.

I hope you enjoy the photos!

More than half way already!

Sunday 11th Oct
I am feeling amazing, I am doing something for a great cause. Any donation is gratefully accepted you may not be able to do the walk but as I said any amount no matter how small.
Please help to find a solution to this horrible thing called cancer!
It won’t get fixed unless we do something!

I went to Milton yesterday to visit a sick friend which is a 2 and a half hour drive. It was well worth it to see the surprised look on her face. She has been in and out of hospital for quite a while now.

As we drove into the town there were all these crocheted covers around the trees and posts. We stopped for a bite to eat so I asked the lady what was it all about. She said it’s Breast cancer month and we do it for the Jayne McGrath foundation! Then it made sense and I thought how wonderful that the whole town is inspired to do something.

What will you do?

Thank you to my supporters
