Iβm taking on the Walk for Breast Cancer 2026 Fundraiser β and I need your support.
Iβll be walking/running for the 58 Aussies diagnosed with breast cancer every day and to help fund the next breast cancer breakthrough.
In 2023, I became one of those Australians. Iβm incredibly grateful for the treatment and support I received, and this is my way of giving back and helping others facing the same diagnosis.
The money I raise will support Cancer Councilβs vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services for people affected by cancer.
If youβre able to donate, Iβd be so grateful for your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal. Every contribution, big or small, helps. π
My Updates
$1,000 raised and the finish line is in sight! ππββοΈ
Tuesday 27th OctWith less than a week to go in my Cancer Council October challenge, I've hit my $1,000 fundraising goal! π And I've clocked up 112km of my 116km target β just 4km to go!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated, especially those who have jumped on board recently. Your generosity and support have been amazing! π
In my last update, I mentioned two reasons for taking on this challenge β raising funds for Cancer Council and improving my fitness. But I left out the third, and by far the most important reason β to remind everyone to get checked!
A few years ago, I found a lump and had it checked out. Thankfully, I got the all-clear. A couple of years later, I went for another check, and this time they found breast cancer. Fortunately, it was caught early.
I was still in my 40s.Β Know your body, get any changes checked and take advantage of screening when you're eligible. Early detection can make all the difference. πΒ https://www.breastscreen.nsw.gov.au
And to finish off the challenge, my last run will be at Menai parkrun! If you're local, come along and join me for a run, jog or walk.Β https://www.parkrun.com.au/menai/?_com
Halfway through October and more than halfway through the challenge!
Wednesday 14th Oct 62km down, 54km to go! πΆββοΈπββοΈI may have slacked off a little over the school holidays (oops!), so today called for a 10km run to catch upβ¦ and boy, am I feeling it! π
I'm doing this challenge for two reasons β to raise much-needed funds for Cancer Council and to improve my own fitness.
A year ago, there was no way I could have run 10km. Fast forward to this year, I've completed the Sutherland to Surf and now I'm tackling this 116km challenge. It's amazing what a difference a year can make!
A HUGE shout-out and thank you to everyone who has donated so far! π Your generosity and support mean so much, and every dollar helps make a difference.
If you haven't donated yet and would like to support the cause, there's still time. Every little bit counts! π
62 down, 54 to go! Let's do this! πͺ Share
Billabong Zoo - 5km
Tuesday 6th OctTodayβs 5km came with a few extra furry (and feathered!) friends! πΎπ
Walked our way around Billabong Zoo today β with the wombats, otters and cassowaries definitely taking out our favourites! π¦¦
Another 5km added to the October Walk Challenge and every step is helping raise funds for breast cancer research. π

Coastal Walk today
Monday 5th OctA few more kilometres ticked off today! π
After a slow start to the challenge (Iβm blaming the school holidays! π), today I walked the coastal track from Port Macquarie Town Centre to Flynnβs Beach and back. ππ
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me so far β it really does mean a lot. π Plenty more kilometres to come!
