58KM FOR THE WOMEN WHO SHOULD STILL BE HERE š
58km for 58 women. š
Every single day in Australia, 58 people hear the words that can completely change a life: breast cancer.
So I'm walking 58km.
But for me, this isn't just about kilometres or hitting a fundraising target.
I'm walking for the women who have fought.
For the women who are fighting right fucking now.
For the women who rang the bell.
For the women still holding their breath between scans.
For the mums, daughters, sisters, wives, partners, aunties, grandmothers, friends and bloody incredible women whose lives have been turned upside down by this disease.
And I'm walking for the ones we've lost.
The women who should still be sitting around our tables.
Still laughing with their families.
Still watching their kids and grandkids grow.
Still fucking here.
Most of us know someone.
Someone we love. Someone we've watched go through it. Someone we've celebrated getting the all clear. Or someone whose absence is still felt every fucking day.
Those are the women I'll be thinking about with every kilometre.
I'm taking on the 58km challenge to raise money for Cancer Council and help fund cancer research, prevention programs and support for people and families affected by cancer.
And I'd bloody love your help.
If you're able to donate, no matter how much, it all adds up.
And if you can't donate, sharing my fundraiser would mean just as much.
Maybe even leave the name of a woman you're honouring in the comments.
I'll carry her with me too. š
58km.
58 Australians diagnosed every day.
For those fighting.
For those who fought.
For those we've lost.
And for a future where fewer families ever have to hear those words.
Are you with me?
