I’m taking on an epic challenge this October – and I need your support.
💗 58km for the 58 Aussies diagnosed with breast cancer every day 💗
There’s something I’ve never shared publicly on Facebook before, and it feels a little scary putting this out there.
Last year, I was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer.
What followed was one of the hardest periods of my life. I went through chemotherapy, major surgery and months of treatment, and there were plenty of moments where I honestly didn’t know what the road ahead was going to look like.
I chose not to share my diagnosis or my journey publicly at the time. I was focused on getting through it, looking after myself and my family, and taking things one day at a time.
But now, I’m ready to talk about it.
And what better way to do that than by challenging myself to walk 58km — for the 58 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer every single day.
This walk is incredibly personal to me. Breast cancer isn't just something I’ve read about or heard about anymore. It’s something that changed my life.
I’m walking to help find the next breast cancer breakthrough, and to raise money for Cancer Council to fund world-class cancer research, prevention programs and support services for people affected by cancer before, during and after treatment.
Cancer Council supports people and families through every stage of cancer, advocates for the community, helps people reduce their cancer risk, and funds research into better ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer.
I know firsthand how important that support, research and progress is.
So, if you’re able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. ❤️ Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help me get closer to my fundraising goal — and every kilometre I walk will have a little more meaning behind it.
It’s all of us against cancer. 💪
Please donate to my fundraiser and help me take those 58km for the 58 Australians who will hear the words “you have breast cancer” today.
