THE PINK PARTY IS BACK 💗

For more than a decade, we held a Pink Party as part of Cancer Council’s Girls’ Night In, raising money for cancer research and support.

It started because of my nan, her breast cancer diagnosis and her commitment to the Cancer Council - she opened the very first Cancer Council Op Shop so a small gathering of friends one October afternoon in 2008 seemed a fitting way to support her. What began as one-off afternoon event turned into a tradition that went on for years.

Between 2008 and 2019, our Pink Party raised $34,677.

Then COVID happened, life got busy, and somehow the Pink Party tradition came to an end.

Until now...

This year, Emily and Sophie decided the Pink Party needed to make a come back.

They remember the parties. They remember the pink, the food, the raffles and the fun. And somewhere along the way, they’ve also understood something much bigger:

Cancer sucks.

So, after lots of conversations in the car about how we could bring it back, they decided it was time.

On a Saturday in November (date and time TBC), we're bringing the Pink Party back at our house - wear something pink, eat yum food, there'll be good music, games, raffles, a lucky door prize and, hopefully, lots of people coming together for a really important cause.

This time, the girls have set themselves a goal of $5,000.

It's a big goal. But after the 12 parties that came before it, they know what can happen when people come together and everyone gives a little.

So we're asking you to help us make Pink Party #13 count.

Whether you donate $5, $20, $50 or simply share our fundraiser, every bit helps them get closer to their goal and supports Cancer Council's work to create a cancer-free future.

Because this started with my nan.

It became a tradition.

And now, it's being brought back by the next generation.
