Run for breast cancer!! 🏃♂️
Saturday 19th SepThis October, I am running 58kms to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
I am is currently doing my PhD in cancer research, focusing on understanding how breast cancers develop resistance to standard treatment and developing new strategies and interventions to restore therapeutic response.
Statistically, 1 in 7 Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Despite significant therapeutic breakthroughs, the rate of diagnoses and deaths are still rapidly increasing. Annual breast cancer deaths are projected to reach 1.4million globally by 2050.
