Cancer Council’s prevention programs support people to make healthier choices, from quitting smoking to staying sun safe. Today, smoking rates in Australia are at their lowest ever, and SunSmart helps protect over 2 million children from harmful UV exposure.
Your support also helps drive advocacy, bringing evidence and community voices together to influence policy, improve access to care, and create meaningful change.
Cancer support
Every year, more than 41,000 people call Cancer Council 13 11 20 for information, advice and support.
Your fundraising helps provide access to this service, as well as practical support like transport to treatment, accommodation and financial assistance.
It also helps fund vital services like pro bono legal and financial advice, with over $4.8 million worth of support delivered to more than 1,300 people affected by cancer.
