I’m doing it for cancer!
Tradies Support the Ladies is a community initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for breast cancer and encouraging men to support women in early detection and treatment.
The "Tradies Support the Ladies" initiative was founded by Gary Sinclair and Mat Whitson after personal experiences with breast cancer in their families. Now lead by local Tradie George Androutsos, the "Tradies Support The Ladies" program encourages tradies to wear pink shirts on
Fridays as a symbol of support and to promote awareness about breast cancer symptoms and the
importance of self checks. The initiative aims to start conversations about breast cancer and to remind both men and women to be vigilant about health checks.
- We raise awareness, encourage conversations, and we raise money for vital cancer support services, research, education and advocacy.
How to Get Involved
By wearing pink on Fridays, attending our Tradies fundraising events throughout the year, or simply spreading the word about breast cancer awareness. We also encourage businesses and organisations to support the cause by attending/sponsoring events or promoting awareness within their communities.
By fostering a supportive environment and encouraging open discussions about breast cancer, Tradies
Support the Ladies aims to make a significant impact on health awareness and community support for
those affected by breast cancer.
