I'm doing it for cancer!
I'm walking in memory of my grandpa, or as I would call him, Gugu, who passed away after bravely living with asbestosis for three and a half years. He wasn't just my grandpa, he was my best friend. We did everything together, and I miss him every single day.
Even through everything he went through, he never lost his personality. He stayed kind, strong, and full of love, and that's something I'll always admire. I wish he could see how much I've achieved, because so much of what I do is inspired by him.
Every step I take is for Gugu and for everyone affected by asbestosis and cancer. My hope is that, together, we can raise awareness, support those who are fighting, and help fund research so that fewer families have to experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love.
