I'm doing it for cancer!
Cancer affects so many people, but this walk is incredibly personal for Tex and I. We are taking on 50km for our beautiful friend Leanne, who continues to fight one of the toughest battles imaginable with so much strength and courage.
After finally getting a break from chemotherapy, Leanne recently received the devastating news that the cancer had returned. A tumour in her liver caused serious complications, leading to weeks in hospital and the need for another round of chemotherapy. Yet through it all, she still talks about wanting to get back to doing what she loves most, riding horses and spending time with Brooksey her pony. That strength is something truly special.
Watching someone you care about go through so much and still keep fighting is heartbreaking and inspiring all at once. So Tex and I are walking 50km to raise money, awareness, and support for everyone battling this rotten disease.
Every donation, share, and message means the world to us, but even more importantly, it means the world to people like Leanne who are fighting every single day.
This walk is for hope, for strength, and for a future without cancer. 🤍

Walk for Cancer - Day 1 💛
Monday 18th MayToday marked the beginning of our walk for cancer journey, and while the numbers may seem small to some, every single step means something bigger. Together, Tex and I completed 2 walks today, covering a total of 1.83km and 2,250 steps toward our overall goal of 50km.
Because Tex is still only young, we’re taking things slowly and making sure he stays happy, healthy, and safe while building up his endurance. That means shorter walks for now but consistency is what matters most, and we’re determined to reach that 50km together one step at a time.

Watching Tex trot along beside me today reminded me exactly why we’re doing this. This challenge is for our beautiful friend Leanne and for everyone fighting battles they never asked for. Every walk is a reminder that even the smallest progress still counts.
Day one may only be the beginning, but we’re proud of it.
